ADVERBS


The dog barked loudly.

The dog barked fiercely.

The dog barked hopefully.

In these sentences we are told how the dog barked by the ADVERBS.

An adverb adds to your knowledge of the verb. They often end

in the letters -ly. They tell us HOW, WHEN, OR WHERE the verb happened.

Here are a list of some adverbs.

cleverly, pleasantly, soon, usually, lazily, stupidly, never,

there, greedily, thoughtfully, keenly, guiltily, recklessly,

gently, hardly, kindly, suspiciously, normally, successfully,

noisily

Choose a suitable one for each of these sentences. Write out the whole sentence, and underline your choice of adverb.
