Mon Kumar Lama is 10 years old and lives near Dhaulagat, in a little village far away from the main road and all facilities. His father (Bahadur Lama) is a farm labourer, and most of the villagers are involved in farming.
In Nepal farm labourers earn about fifteen pounds (1800 rupees) a month, and often the children are taken out of schooling because parents cannot afford monthly fees, uniform, books or equipment. Please consider sponsoring Mon Kumar. Five pounds (10 US dollars) per month will give him free education and a future at Jyamdi School, Nepal.
